Air New Zealand Lounge Melbourne
The Air New Zealand Melbourne lounge is located on the ramp level of Melbourne Airports T2. The original lounge was around 600 m2. With the rebuild the project is now nearly 1400m2. The lounge opened in May 2017 The lounge offers a large number of shower rooms and toilet facilities along with a children’s play area and a special quiet zone for those wanting to relax before their flight.
During the construction it was necessary to relocate the lounge to the lower departures level. This allowed Air New Zealand to seamlessly offer premium lounge services with no interruption. The team faced many challenges with the delivery as it involved demolition of the old lounge, the creation of an additional 800 m2 of new space and the complete fit out with the new branded product.
